25th NORTHERN IRELAND HEALTHCARE AWARDS WINNERS UNVEILED
During a special silver milestone celebration, the 2024 Northern Ireland Healthcare Awards honoured the hardworking endeavours and landscape-shifting initiatives being embarked on by the region’s healthcare representatives daily.
With Journalist and Presenter, Sarah Travers, once again at the hosting helm, the annual ceremony returned to the Europa Hotel, Belfast, in which the 13 trophies were distributed to the esteemed category title-holders – varying from Advancements in Oncology, and Hospital Pharmacy Team of the Year, to Primary Care Initiative.
300-plus attendees gathered for the reveal of this year’s recipients, which concluded with the presentation of the 2024 Special Recognition accolade. This year, the prestigious trophy was honoured to Seamus McAleer, Consultant Clinical Oncologist, who has embarked on significant and substantial charitable endeavours for the Friends of the Cancer Centre throughout the years.
Funds were also kindly donated throughout the evening to the 2024 charity sponsor – Friends of the Cancer Centre. Based at the heart of the Cancer Centre at Belfast City Hospital, the charity funds life-saving and life-changing projects that make a real and lasting difference to the lives of thousands of local people affected by cancer and in the last year alone, Friends of the Cancer Centre has put over £1.4 million back into local cancer services.
All the winners will be featured in the forthcoming edition of Northern Ireland Healthcare Review, while the exclusive pictures can now be viewed below.
